Ratchet was going through some his daily standard procedures on the computer mainframe, making sure everything was working. The security system, energon levels, and the tracking signals on everybody. He was in the middle of typing a command into the mainframe when he heard Arcee and Bee roll in through the entrance way. He turned to watch Raf exit Bumblebee from the driver's side and Jack dismount Arcee. Ratchet marveled at how fast humans grew. Jack was in college now and had a clean cut beard and mustache like that Tony Stark human he's seen on Raf's Popular Science magazine and he had a greater amount of muscle on his body than he did when he was younger. Raf had graduated high school early and was in his first year of college, taking Astrophysics. He'd also grown a few feet reaching a lanky 6' 1" with a nice high and tight military buzz cut. Ratchet chuckled to himself as he looked at the two young adult males greet each other with noogies and playful shoves.

Where's Miko and Bulkhead? Ratchet had just noticed that they weren't there. Jack looked up at Ratchet with a smile.

"Hey docbot, how's it going?"

"Where's Miko and Bulkhead?"

Raf answered. "We don't know. She's been disappearing after school for the past week and has been avoidant towards us and Bulkhead too."

"Strange…..I wonder what's she's up too?" Ratchet muttered.

They all turned to the sound of huge feet again the metal floor. It was Optimus Prime appearing from the shadows of the hallway that led to their recharging rooms.

"I too have wondered about Miko's bizarre behavior." His voice was deep and thunderous like a mighty god's.

"Bizarre? When has she not been bizarre?" Raf replied sarcastically. Optimus watched as Raf and Jack climbed the ladder to the balcony attached to the main computer Ratchet had been typing on.

"Miko has been mischievous and odd in the past, but her recent behavior is strange even for her" His face was serious like it always was, emotions hardly ever crossing his face plates.

A deep rumbling brought everyone out of their thoughts and towards the entrance way that led outside. It was Bulkhead moving a top speed. He hit the breaks and transformed in mid-skid coming to a halt, almost hitting Bee in the process.

"HAS ANYONE SEEN MIKO!?!" Bulkhead was in a frantic state of mind. His cooling fans were at there highest speed attempting to cool his internal body heat and Ratchet could sense that his anxiety levels were very high.

"I CAN'T FIND HER! DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE SHE IS!! SHE'S BEEN ACTING SO STRANGE A…."

"BULKHEAD!" Optimus stopped him in mid sentence, placing his servos on Bulkhead's shoulder armor making him look optic to optic.

"You need to calm down so that you can think clearly. Worrying won't be of any help in finding Miko." Bulkhead was silent. The humming of his fans was slowing and he began to calm down, but only a little bit.

"But I'm so worried about her." Optimus gave a comforting smile "That is what makes you a good guardian my friend." Bulkhead smiled and relaxed.

"Hey?" Bulkhead looked under his left arm to see Bumblebee hugging his side. The poor little mech couldn't get his arms all the way around his green companion and this made Bulkhead giggle.

"Thanks buddy."

Bumblebee looked up at the behemoth "Your welcome."

Jack decided to cut in. "Don't worry Bulkhead. She's 18 years old, her hormones are gonna make her act weird for a while."

Bulkhead pondered Jack's words. "How long is a while?"
Jack thought for a moment. "Give it a couple of years and she won't be so nutty." He made a circle motion with his right index finger to his temple as he said nutty.

The green mech sighed, thinking about that loud, human female he was in charge of watching. He grew to love her, Raf, and Jack and he knew that the others had grown attached too. Arcee had finally decided to speak after being quite the whole time. She place her servo on Bulkhead's forearm.

"Don't worry, just be patient with her and she'll come to when ready." She smiled a sweet smile but Bulkhead was still worried.

Miko calling suddenly filled Bulkhead's vision and he answered it in less than a sparkbeat.

"Miko?! Where are you!? Are you alright!?" he yelled.

"Whoa Bulkhead! Cool it, I need my ears dude." Miko responded.

"Oops, sorry. Where are you?"

"I'm in tha desert and I need you to space bridge me to base" Bulkhead was a bit shocked and everyone could tell by his tone.

"The desert!?! What are you doing in the desert by yourself?" Now he was worried.

The young female answered back sourly. "One, I'm an adult Bulkhead. Two, I'm perfectly capable of handling myself. And three, I'll tell once I'm back in the base ok."

Bulkhead was silent for a moment as he was hurt by her words. How did she get so distant from me?

"Heellllooooo. Bulkhead!! Are you there?"

The green mech came out of his temporary daze and responded to the impatient Miko. "Uh, yea. I'm here."

"Well activate the space bridge already."

The call ended abruptly and Bulkhead looked up at his observant friends who had stood by quietly during the phone conversation.

"We need to open a space bridge for Miko."

"I know. She was talking loud enough." Ratchet responded as he started towards the bridge controls.

"Do you have her location?" the doctor looked over his shoulder.

"Yea."

The coordinates were punched in and the bridge opened in a flash of brilliant lights swirling like a hurricane. Miko wasn't going to get a very warm welcome.
